Financial Literacy Commission Update

Only $102,300 from State Campaign Goal

One year ago, what began as a simple discussion—a conversation about the powerful potential of a partnership between the Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission and Tennessee's credit unions—has blossomed into a monumental success story.

Now, just one year later, we stand in awe of the collective effort and generosity. We are thrilled to report that we have raised an astonishing $497,700 toward our ambitious $600,000 goal, and the momentum shows no signs of slowing. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the credit union movement in Tennessee.

Unprecedented Dedication from Tennessee's Credit Unions

The response from Tennessee's credit unions has been nothing short of extraordinary. Not only have they stepped up with significant pledges to support the Commission for the next three years, but several visionary credit unions have gone above and beyond, committing to an additional year of support! This level of long-term dedication is truly inspiring and solidifies the foundation for sustained financial education across the state.

Tennessee's credit unions are, quite simply, amazing. Your core mission—to serve your members and your communities—is carried out with a dedication that is second to none. This partnership is a perfect reflection of the cooperative spirit that defines who we are, demonstrating a powerful commitment to the financial health and future of all Tennesseans.

The Finish Line Is In Sight: Join the Movement

The great news is that our journey is not yet complete, and it is absolutely not too late for your credit union to become a vital part of this success story. We are tantalizingly close to reaching our target, with only $102,300 remaining to fully fund this transformative partnership.

Every single pledge is crucial, regardless of the amount. Whether your contribution helps to sponsor educational materials, fund a community outreach program, or support a key staff position, it directly impacts the lives of your neighbors. This initiative is more than a fundraising campaign; it is an investment in the collective financial resilience of our state.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We must take this opportunity to pause and extend our deepest gratitude. Thank you to the following credit unions for recognizing the importance of this mission and for stepping up to support our collective efforts. Your generosity is actively assisting all Tennesseans in reaching their goal of lifelong financial well-being.
